a medieval jester’s role places emphasis on the interconnection between morality and performance. through irony, the weight of moral dimension weight becomes more palatable. His performance is not to separate the audience from himself, but rather, to connect values in a way in which they can be understood from a dissimilar perspective.
How am i instinctively putting on a performance? am i making a fool of myself?
